The locally sourced recycled wood will eventually be landfilled and enter the Stasidecks high-performance composite deck. By using recycled sawdust, we never have to cut down a tree to produce our products.
The recycled wood on our deck is combined with Stasidecks recycled plastic film and other recycled components, from the outer packaging on paper towels to dry cleaning bags, sandwich bags, newspaper covers, grocery bags, and shopping bags. Here is an interesting fact: the average 500 square foot composite Stasidecks deck contains 140000 recycled plastic bags! This makes us one of the largest plastic bag recyclers in the United States.
Stasidecks plays an active role in ensuring that our supply suppliers operate in ethical and responsible business practices. Approximately 95% of our supply suppliers are located in the United States. We conduct supply chain assessments, including conducting on-site inspections, visiting operational facilities, and collaborating with suppliers to reduce the environmental impact of the entire supply chain. Therefore, we strive to use post consumer and post industrial content as much as possible.
Stasidecks collaborates with other members of the US Green Building Council to change the design, construction, and operation of buildings and communities, with the aim of creating environmentally and socially responsible spaces and improving quality of life.
